Hi there thanks for reading! I haven't tried that. I would imagine it would be useful if you had a pre-determined loop time, and MIDI could control when the loop would punch in and then punch out. Or if some devices could trigger MIDI events based on your the length of the loop that you've set up, that could be interesting. Please report back if you try anything!
Unfortunately I chatted with Strymon and it doesn't take any notice of the MIDI clock when it's in SoS mode. There is a VST called 'Enzo' that is capable, but it's doesn't have the lovely tape-loop quality of the El Capistan.
